User aambrosi wrote in with a rather unique tip,
"In a effort to minimize fingerprints and scratches on my iPod I waxed it with some car wax. I know it sound crazy but was does offer a fine layer of protection against scratches and finger prints. I keeps the chrome back nice and shinny and helps keep finger prints to a minimum. It also makes it easier to clean the fingerprints off. I used a good paste wax like Simonize, a clean all cotton (no synthetic fiber) cloth; a cotton baby diaper works great and some q-tips. Put the wax on let it dry and then buff it off. Of course it is important to not wax over the headphone and firewire jacks as well as the buttons and scroll wheel. Use particular care in waxing around the buttons as not to get any wax in between the case and the buttons that?s where the q-tips come in handy. This is not a substitute for a good case but it does help with those annoying finger prints and smudges. Once it's waxed, it's ready to be taken to the local car show for judging. Good Luck."
This one hadn't occurred to us. Any others sporting a waxy iPod out there?
