Thought it had been rumored early last month, MacWorld UK reports that Wolfson Microelectronics, this morning, officially announcd that they will float on London's Stock Exchange sometime this year. Wolfson produces audio and imaging IC's used in a variety of popular consumer electronics devices, including the audio chips used in the iPod. The company feels that the additional funding will help strengthen and expand their services globally.
